Congress back today (you mean they were gone?)
Returning for a brief, three-week 'holiday' session, Congress has returned to the scene of their crimes and misdemeanors, and to hear Bush tell it, they've been very naughty as well--for not toeing Bush's funding line.
Or at least that's the Dems according to Dubya.
When I opened the chart for this morning, Capitol Building, 9:00 am est, the Sun popped out at me--11Sag+, conjunct the Pluto/Chiron conjunction of Dec 30, 1999. As you know, the Pluto/Chiron combo is the plutocratic, oppressive, corporatism-fascism energy which has the world in a stranglehold (plus, there's Jupiter/Pluto, also a significator for plutocracy and excessive power.)
Chiron adds a wounded and disenfranchised quality to Pluto's behind-the-throne power tendencies.
Moon 4Lib00 (just past the Sibly USA natal MC) had just crossed the MC (4Lib15) in the Pluto/Chiron chart (5:50 am est; Dec 30, 1999) at 9:00 am in Washington, reflecting this degree publicly (although it's the backroom deals that guide them in House and Senate, not the Public's wishes, as we've noticed insufferably.)
Using the rounding-up method because it seems to apply to Washington more than the previous Sabian Symbol, let's peek at Lynda Hill's book on the Symbols, 360 Degrees of Wisdom, for the Moon's degree, "5Lib":

Ron Paul: rectified!
Thanks to Granny Miller I am now in possession of a rectified natal chart for presidential candidate, Ron Paul, whose exact time of birth is unknown (says he.)
Granny is recommending a birth time of 7:45 am based on her rectification, i.e. timing of events which coincide with angular triggers, etc, and on election day transits for Nov 4, 2008--which she says look good for the Doctor!
Here you see dual charts with Solar chart top right, and rectified chart bottom left. The 7:45 am version adds some midpoint pictures:
Mercury/Neptune = ASC: being exploited, deceived, or harmed by others; potential overreactions; open to others' influence.
Sun/Venus = ASC: a kind-hearted personality.
Jupiter/MC = Sun: success and recognition; illumination of one's life purpose; new opportunities.
NN/ASC = Jupiter: humanitarianism; fortunate associations.
The rectified chart puts Sun and Mercury in 12th house and, as you know, it's quite usual for a politician to have a 12th house (unconsciously arrogant) Sun!

Solar charts are always good for ego-related or creative issues. They're like a photo of the individual that's slightly out of focus--so all the warts may not be visible; you'll find that the Sun/Moon personality details stay the same.
Bush irony strikes Putin--no scratch reported
With transit *Jupiter conjunct Putin's natal Mars and tr Neptune conj his natal NN (the public), Vladimir Putin's party has "won" the elections in Russia.
And George Bush has mildly called for investigation into election "irregularities" in Russia which is not as surprising as it is ironic. After all, where does Bush think he'd be without election irregularities (and a complicit Supreme Court)?
As I've mentioned here before--cheating isn't "winning"...it's stealing.
When election irregularities really needed investigating in the US, Bush stayed mum for all the obvious reasons...now he dares to comment on Putin's situation which is sure to bring him understandable--if mock--scorn from Putin concerning our own election "process" which has turned against the populace like a piqued dictator on a rampage.
The Holier-Than-Thou Theater is tres dramatic, is it not?
And the win-at-any-cost Machiavellians among us would be comedically entertaining if they weren't totally vile and psychotic.

Hillary's realpolitiks
Just found an interesting blog by Jonolan called Reflections from a Murky Pond with a current post on Hillary Clinton's expertise with the realpolitikal process, and the recent Republican debate (so-called.)
You'll also find an interesting historical timeline of the Second Amendment from 1789 and the subtle word arranging that went on as it was being written, voted upon, and accepted. Well done.
In 1999 and 2000, I pleaded with anyone who would listen not to vote for George Bush. Now I do the same for Hillary Clinton. You wouldn't, would you?
Is she experienced? yes. Familiar with the White House and its ways? oh yes. A continuation of Bush-Clinton world agenda policies? double yes. And I know you don't want that because you see where it's brought us...to being the scourge of the world.
So the NWO's steamroller with its "strong-armed paternalism" vibe plows on along. Changing it to "strong-armed maternalism" by putting a woman in the driver's seat won't make their world government plans any less objectionable to the common man or woman.

Yes, it's true, the Fed (-eral Reserve Bank) has a meeting scheduled for Dec 11, the very day of the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto and you'll find an UPDATE to the post which I've added just now.
