Civil War's final Neptune Return January 24, 2026

Due to equipment failure and my continued uploading issues, I can't display here a copy of the third of three Neptune Returns to the April 12, 1861 "first shot" Horoscope of the Civil War (#3 Return January 24, 2026); however, you see below a previously published dual image of the first Neptune Return of March 28, 2025, plus, the War's 1861 Horoscope with Mercury and Neptune rising at Ascendant which reveals the "exploited, deceived, harmed" influences prevalent whenever war is fomented:

Significantly, the Civil War 1861's Neptune Return #3 of 3 perfects on January 24, 2026 (11:19:16 am est Charleston, SC: ASC 27Ari52) and shows Jupiter the General Rx (weakened) and conjunct the Return Horoscope's IC of Endings.

Meanwhile, karmic planets Neptune and Saturn (29:56 and 27:56) are soon to blend energies in a new cycle on February 20, 2026 at Aries Point, and are in Neptune Return #3's 12th house of Karma, Hidden Enemies, Back Room Deals, and Politics.

A notable mention is #3 Return Ascendant ruler Mars @1AQ00 (= POTUS Sun), the warrior planet, applying to conjunction with Pluto (3:27), then with the Sun (4AQ41). The trio forms a midpoint picture: Sun-Mars = Pluto with potentials for fanaticism, war, violence, unscrupulous procedure, and/or the overtaxing of strength (R. Ebertin). Here's a Discovery of America Horoscope

Years back here on SO'W, a Discovery of America Horoscope was published, and in case you'd care to compare current transits with its 1492 placements, below you see the chart set for sunrise ("early in the morning") on October 12, 1492 Great Guana Cay, Bahamas.

If you're interested, National Geographic provides details including the fact that the Island of San Salvadore, as the location has been called since 1925 to "recognize the first known European contact with the Americas," is thought by many who study such topics to be Columbus' actual landing place early on the morning on October 12, 1492:

So here's a question for you:

Can current, future, and/or past transits reveal any useful information concerning events, conditions, or circumstances occurring in America at a chosen point in time? My guess is that answers are available for those curious enough to keep tabs!

Well, here are few of today's planetary contacts that pop out at yours truly based on 6:00 pm EST January 17, 2026:

In general, there are multiple indications of current traumatic shifts in US society involving tension, irritability, insecurity, paranoia, fear, and the accompanying unrest that's being purposefully fomented via extreme power plays. For example: Sun-square-1492-Sun, Sun inconjunct 1492 Mars, and Uranus inconjunct 1492 Sun.

Then for a gracious helping of karma, today's Saturn squares 1492 Neptune which adds to our stressful conditions as foundations shake and laws are disregarded and undermined, plus, an emphasis on spiritual values becomes more important than the materialism that a majority of We the People have tended to favor. (Understandable given the "race race" workers have had to run in order to keep up with expenses, raise a family, etc.)

And with today's North Node inconjunct 1492 Saturn, a letting go of previous alliances is underway - is known to be underway - as certain politicians work to isolate our country from allies in order to sabotage and collapse our nation, plunder resources into certain bank accounts, and thereby remove the US from her former position as global leader.

Then in the realm of civil rights, Uranus inconjunct 1492 Neptune suggests the erosion and disruption of individual rights, adding restrictions and confusion as bullies behave in an out-of-control manner. You know who they are.

Meanwhile, a major transit of today's Jupiter exalted in Cancer is ruffling the 1492 Moon yet Luna's position could be adjusted if we knew an exact hour of the explorer's landing. With Jupiter's current retrograde period ongoing until March 10, 2026, we appreciate that our timing of the 1492 landing may be off by a bit. Even so, Jupiter-to-Moon is traditionally the "feel good" transit but as we know, it's primarily working for the well-heeled among us, and for the upper-class elite who "call the tune" with no care at all for the rest of the American people as their P-2025 purge agenda proceeds, and democracy and freedom are vanquished from the Earth (so they hope).

Then perhaps we should look at transits beyond this year because one of the harshest transits is upcoming, and that's transit Pluto conjunct 1492 Saturn (13AQ34). Of course, the conjunction will be felt "early" as transit Pluto moves within 5 degrees of 1492 Saturn, but won't become exact until April 27, 2031; this is the first of a total of five conjunctions that extend into December 2032. Structures and traditions will be further at risk and battles with authority figures - or with those who consider themselves to be in charge - must be fought as major alterations are forced into place but are resented and resisted. Yet on what is hopefully a positive note, abuse of authority is confronted and corrected, a condition that is fated to happen.

Now in closing, I know that you're certain to spot an abundance of other transits to 1492 planets from 2026 and beyond and I hope you're inspired to do so if only to confirm whether or not the Discovery of America Horoscope is a valuable resource. To me it seems to be useful but naturally you'll want to decide for yourself. jc
